The U.S. Forest Service is conducting another prescribed burn in the Lake Russell Wildlife Management Area today, Tuesday, March 8.
The 400 acre burn is located 8 miles southwest of Toccoa and is expected to last until 4 or 5 p.m. Smoke is visible throughout the area. Officials say there could be residual smoke for an hour or two after that.
