Clarkesville Main Street continues two popular summer events tonight: Friday Night Live’s Classic Cruise In on the square, followed by a free movie under the stars in Pitts Park.
The Classic Cruise In will take place from 6-8pm in the upper parking lot of the former courthouse. All makes and models are welcome and prizes will be awarded. There is no entry fee.
Friday Night Flicks, Clarkesville Main Street’s free outdoor movie series will follow with a special showing of Disney’s “Zootopia” at 8:30PM in Pitts Park.
The movie takes place in the modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia. Determined to prove herself, Officer Judy Hopps, the first bunny on Zootopia’s police force, jumps at the chance to crack her first case – even if it means partnering with scam-artist fox Nick Wilde to solve the mystery.
“Grab a bite at one of our downtown restaurants and enjoy the free evening activities in town,” invites Mary Beth Horton, Clarkesville Main Street Manager. “It’s our last big event of the summer, and we think it will be a fun night for all ages!”
The Kona Ice truck will be selling their popular tropical snow cones during the movie in Pitts Park.
The events are free and open to the public. For weather updates, visit Clarkesville on Facebook or www.clarkesvillega.com.
