Cooler weather has arrived in Habersham, and the first frost of the season is looking quite likely this coming weekend.
A strong high pressure system will push a cold front through the area later today, turning our winds to the NW and bringing the first Canadian air of the season down to Northeast Georgia. With it comes the first chance for a frost, beginning Sunday morning.
Lows should bottom out in the 40’s on Saturday morning with some wind helping to mitigate the frost threat, but by Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights calm winds will allow 30’s to become widespread. A frost is likely across the area these three mornings, with the best chance for it coming in well protected, low-lying areas (if light frost events usually gets your yard, expect it this weekend). Afternoon highs will hold in the 60’s Sat/Sun/Tue and in the 50’s on Monday.
After Tuesday things will start to warm up with the next rain chance not coming until possibly late next week/weekend.
Everyone have an excellent Friday!~TW
