South Habersham Middle School student Cassie Carter is heading to state after winning this year’s area 2 FFA Creed Contest.
The 8th grader competed with more than 60 students in 6th-9th grades in the northeast Georgia region.
In the FFA creed contest, students are required to memorize a five stanza creed and answer questions about the meaning of the FFA Creed.
Carter will now advance to the state competition in Macon, Georgia. There she will compete to represent the state of Georgia in Louisville, Kentucky.
