Surveillance photos show the suspect entering the scale office and pulling a gun on the clerk. The suspect stole the clerk’s car and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office has released surveillance photos of the suspect in last week’s armed robbery at the county landfill.
The photos, taken on the morning of April 20, show the suspect dressed in dark clothing, face covered by a bandanna, walking into the scale office and pulling a gun on the clerk.
The suspect demanded the cash box and clerk’s keys. The suspect fled in the clerk’s 2010 white KIA Forte with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a heavyset white male.
The stolen vehicle has Georgia license tag #REJ5794. There’s a dent in the driver’s door.
If you see a car matching this description please call 911. Do not approach the vehicle. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
