A downed tree limb left hundreds in Habersham in the dark overnight.
Georgia Power reported 618 customers in the Demorest area were without power late Tuesday into early Wednesday. The outage extended from downtown Demorest to the immediate outskirts of town (see map above).
Service is now completely restored.
Local Georgia Power manager Brent Edwards says the outage was caused by a large tree limb that fell on the line during Tuesday night’s thunderstorm.
