An active manhunt continues in Banks County at this hour for a suspect who fled from police following a vehicle chase Sunday afternoon. Banks County Sheriff’s Sgt. Carissa McFadden says the chase began on Highway 98 in Maysville. It ended on Hembree Road where the suspect fled on foot, running towards the Rattle Trap Road/McDonald Circle area.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing an orange and/or pink hoodie and blue jeans.
“We currently do have our K-9 units on the ground searching for this individual,” says McFadden. “We have also requested Lee Arrendale K-9 units as well as Georgia State Patrol Aviation to respond to help with this search.”
Authorities ask if you see someone matching this description or any suspicious persons in the area please call 9-1-1.
