Dryer weather is on it’s way.
After an extremely wet pattern these past several weeks, we look to get into a bit of a dryer one starting on Thursday. Heavy rain is still ongoing across the region right now, but will clear out later this afternoon. Flooding remains a concern until this is past. A few rumbles of thunder are possible but severe weather is not expected.
New Years Eve and Day will take full advantage of this dryer weather, with highs Thursday around the 60º mark to finish off a very warm December, and highs Friday only in the low-50’s. If you have plans Thursday night expect midnight temps around the 50º mark for most of the region.
Behind this system a cold front will swing through later tonight, gradually bringing in dryer and more seasonable air, returning our temps to the 40’s by Saturday with overnight lows back below freezing.
Enjoy!
