The line of showers/storms associated with an approaching cold front has reached Habersham County, bringing with it heavy rain and gusty winds. Wind gusts to 45MPH are possible with this band. The initial band should progress through the region by mid-morning Wednesday, with additional moderate to heavy rain expected on and off through the rest of the day.

No severe weather is expected, however, ponding of water on roadways is likely so use extra caution and allow extra time when traveling. Around 1-1.25″ of rain is expected.

Temperatures will fall just a bit behind the line but should remain around 60º for the afternoon hours with widespread rain through early afternoon, becoming more scattered by evening.

A cold front is approaching the area and will leave things cool and dry through the weekend. Expect plenty of sun Thu-Sun. Another low pressure system approaches by Monday, though models differ significantly on the track/strength of this feature.

Have a good week ~ TW
