Enjoy the next couple of nice days, because frigid temps (and some light snow) are coming for a visit.
Sun will continue to dominate through the weekend with seasonable temperatures expected (50’s), but by Monday a very deep trough is expected to develop across the east coast, bringing some of the coldest air of the season thus far to Habersham. In addition to the cold air, some light snow showers or flurries will be possible late Monday through mid-day Tuesday. The precipitation may begin as rain before the lower levels cool enough to change any precip to all snow late Monday. No accumulations are expected across Habersham County, however the higher elevations to our north and west could see as much as 1-2+” during this event. In addition, winds will be VERY gusty through the day Tuesday, which could result in some downed trees and isolated power outages.
Any lingering snow showers will end overnight Tuesday with sunny skies with a gradual warming trend kicking in by late week.
Everybody have a great Superbowl weekend!~TW
