Habersham County public schools will operate on a three hour delay Wednesday, February 10 due to the weather. Superintendent of Schools Matthew Cooper says, “We have quite a few roadways that are wet. There’s a chance that if these roadways do not dry they could be black ice in the morning. We also have several roads in the northern part of the county that have snow on them. So, the delay will allow the sun to come up and will give us the time we need to make sure roads are safe in the morning.” Cooper adds, the delay could become a closing if roads are bad in the morning.

Tallulah Falls School will operate on a two hour delay Wednesday. TFS issued the following statement late Tuesday:

“Due to inclement weather and the possibility of worsening road conditions, Tallulah Falls School will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, February 10.

We will continue to monitor road conditions throughout the night and notify you of any changes before 6 a.m. If you feel road conditions prohibit your student from traveling safely, their absence will be excused.”
