Habersham County Schools will operate on a two hour delay for all staff and students Friday, March 4, 2016.
School Superintendent Matthew Cooper made the announcement Thursday night after an unexpected snowfall earlier in the day. He says some areas of the county saw heavy snowfall, especially in the mountains, and a two hour delay will “ensure that temperatures are above freezing, allow the sun to come up, and let any remaining snow and slush melt. Most importantly, it will ensure we get everyone to school safely.”
Tallulah Falls School also will operate on a two hour delay Friday, March 4, 2016 due to the weather.
