Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (H.E.A.T.) Grant to be used for education and enforcement
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office recently received a $5,2072.20 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS).
The grant, which will continue through September of 2017, will help finance the maintaining of the Habersham Sheriff’s Office H.E.A.T. Unit to help reduce the traffic crash injuries and deaths within Habersham County and the State of Georgia.
“The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety is committed to keeping everyone safe on our roads and highways, from the smallest precious cargo to the most seasoned drivers,” said GOHS Director Harris Blackwood.
