A band of heavy rain is slowly pressing east across North Georgia. This has prompted the NWS to issue a Flood Warning for Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens, Towns, and Union Counties, which will remain in effect until 10:45AM Wednesday.
1-2″ of rain have already fallen, with an additional 1-2″ possible. Remember, if you see a flooded roadway: turn around, don’t drown. Also, if you live in a flood prone area in the counties mentioned, be prepared for minor flooding overnight.
The heavy rain will continue pressing east, and will likely trigger more warnings.
